Along the Mid-Atlantic coast there remains much work to be done to evaluate and resolve problems caused by Sandy.  Fortunately, North Carolina fared relatively well.  Dare County EM provides the latest details there.  The Outer Banks Voice describes impacts and repair to Highway 12.  Hatteras ferry service is discussed in the Virginian Pilot.  Andy Coburn, Assoc. Director of PSDS Western Carolina Univ. has posted aerial photographs from Mirlo Beach to Oregon Inlet (see above) and north of of Oregon Inlet.
